After over a year of filling in forms, gaining qualifications and meeting a certain organisation’s high standards…
That means you can now use your childcare entitlements to get money off your bookings with us.
Stoked? We are too!!
But like most things, it’s not all that straightforward so we have created a little ‘how to’ for all our parents depending on which scheme makes the most sense for you!
What lessons can I book under the scheme?
You can currently use your funding entitlement to pay for our Holiday Clubs, which includes Easter, May half-term, Summer and so on. Both Easter and May Half Term Holiday Clubs are open to book and the new scheme will apply.
You can book your child’s spot using your funding as soon as dates go live on our website. But the steps you take may be slightly different depending on which scheme you’re using.
Hopefully you’ll soon be able to pay for after-school clubs this way too. We’ll keep you posted!
How can I pay using my childcare entitlements?
This depends on which scheme you’re eligible for. More details below:
Tax-free childcare
The Tax-Free Childcare scheme is available for working parents with children aged 11 or under. Eligible families can get up to £2000 per child per year towards out-of-school childcare costs.
This includes our Holiday Skate Clubs and soon to include After-School Clubs 🎉

Do you still have questions about how you can make the most of our Ofsted Scheme? Email us on info@theskateclub.com and we will do our best to help. You can also find more details HERE on the government website.
Getting approved by Ofsted is no mean feat (just look at the bags under our eyes 😂) – so, we’re beyond proud of this milestone.
Not only does it show how seriously we take the development and well-being of our skaters. It also ensures we can make the sport accessible to more budding young skaters and ease the burden of childcare costs on their hard-working parents (aka, you).
Skateboarding is for anyone and everyone, and The Skate Club are dedicated to making is as easy and accessible to participate. If there is anything you think we should be looking into to make it even better please email your ideas to info@theskateclub.com.
Until next time!
