For kids who want to skate all day, The Skate Camp is your place.
At our brand new indoor park at the British Engineerium, ages 8 to 14 who ride independently and enjoy ramps get focused coaching, open-skate blocks, and loads of time on the board.
What’s The Skate camp?
The Skate Camp is our skate-all-day option at the brand-new indoor park at the British Engineerium, Hove. It’s for kids who already ride on their own and love spending hours on the ramps, with longer skate windows, supportive coaching and mini jams that keep progression fun. Ages 8–14, inclusive and welcoming, with space for every style of skater to find their flow.

What do the kids do at the SKATE CAMP?
The camp runs 9am to 3pm, with late pick-up to 5pm. After sign-in and a quick warm-up, skaters get long free-skate blocks at our brand-new indoor park. They choose what to work on, lines, ramps, specific tricks, and ask coaches for help whenever they want. Our Skateboard GB qualified team jump in with one-to-one tips, demos and feedback on request, keeping things safe and positive.
Need a breather, we’ve got a chill-out zone with games and quiet bits for resting legs, resetting and hanging with mates. After lunch it’s more self-directed skating with coaches on hand for trick help and confidence boosts.
Just before 3pm we regroup for shout-outs celebrating effort, progress and good vibes. Staying for late pick-up, your child gets supervised open skate plus time in the chill-out zone.
What should they bring?
Morning snack, packed lunch, and a water bottle. Sturdy trainers (flat-soled). Appropriate clothing for the weather, including sun protection in summer and warm layers in cooler seasons (for outside fun).
Is the skate camp suitable for beginner skaters?
The Skate Camp isn’t suitable for beginners, it’s designed for kids who already ride on their own and enjoy ramps. Most of the day is free-skate time with coaches available on request, so skaters need the basics in place, pushing, braking and turning with confidence. If your child is new to skating, the Holiday Skate Club is a brilliant starting point, mixed ability with coach-led sessions and a gentle build in skills.
Where does the skate camp take place?
Our holiday club runs at one easy-to-reach sites in Hove: The Skate Club, The British Engineerium, The Droveway, Hove, BN3 7QA
Anything worth considering?
Before booking, please make sure your child is ready for a full day of skating. That’s the focus of The Skate Camp. On the day, skaters choose what to work on, ask coaches for help when they want it and use the chill-out zone for breaks.
