Members Area

Welcome to The Skate Club Members Area.

This page is for current members of our weekly Skate Clubs and is designed to give you a simple overview of how your membership works, including your regular sessions, monthly payments, cancellations and membership freezes.

The information on this page is relevant to members of:

This is intended as a straightforward guide for members rather than a replacement for our full membership terms and conditions. Your full terms and conditions are provided through our booking platform, Thrive4, and those remain the authoritative version of your membership agreement.

How your membership works

Your membership gives you a place in your regular weekly Skate Club session.

Memberships are linked to a specific weekly session, so your place is reserved for you each week.

The Skate Club runs for 50 weeks of the year, including during school holidays and on bank holidays.

We have two planned closure weeks each year. One is over Christmas, with the second closure week confirmed each year. We normally expect both closure weeks to fall over the Christmas period, and we’ll let members know the exact dates in advance.

Monthly membership payments

Membership fees are the same each month throughout the year.

The number of sessions you receive in a particular calendar month can therefore vary depending on how the dates fall.

Most months will include four weekly sessions, while some months will include five. Occasionally, particularly around our Christmas closure, there may be fewer sessions in a month.

Your monthly membership price takes this into account across the full year rather than being calculated based on the exact number of sessions in each individual month.

Missing a session

Your membership reserves your place in your regular weekly session.

If you’re unable to attend one week, you don’t need to let us know unless we have specifically asked you to.

Membership sessions cannot normally be swapped to a different day or time.

Cancelling your membership

Membership cancellations require one full calendar month’s notice.

We allow cancellation requests submitted up to and including the 5th of each month to count as notice for that month.

For example, if you submit your cancellation request on any date up to and including 5 March, March will count as your notice month and your membership will end from April onwards.

If you submit your request after 5 March, your notice period will begin in April and your membership will end from May onwards.

You don’t need to email us separately. Simply complete the appropriate cancellation form below and our team will automatically receive your request.

Freezing your membership

If you need to temporarily pause your membership while keeping your place, you can request a membership freeze.

Freeze requests also require one full calendar month’s notice.

We allow freeze requests submitted up to and including the 5th of each month to count as notice for that month.

For example, if you submit your freeze request on any date up to and including 5 March, March will count as your notice month and your freeze can begin from April.

If you submit your request after 5 March, the earliest your freeze can begin will normally be May.

A freeze allows you to keep your place while paying 50% of your normal monthly membership fee for the approved freeze period.

You can request either:

  • One full calendar month, or
  • Four consecutive sessions

Only one membership freeze is permitted per 12-month period and all freeze requests are subject to approval.

Request a membership freeze

There’s no need to email us separately after completing the form. Our team will automatically receive your request.

Membership terms and conditions

This page is designed as a simple guide to how your membership works.

Your full membership terms and conditions are provided through our booking platform, Thrive4, in the Consents area and those terms and conditions remain the authoritative version of your membership agreement.

If there is ever any difference between the information on this page and the terms and conditions you agreed to through Thrive4, the Thrive4 terms and conditions will apply.
